Since its foundation, Ultranav has been involved in the transport of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) by sea. Ultranav started its ship owning activities in 1960 with the “Ultragas”, a 90 cbm gas carrier with an overall leangth of 23 m – probably the smallest vessel of its kind ever built.
Today, via its ownership in Navigator Gas, Ultranav owns and operates a fleet of ethylene and semi-refrigerated gas carriers, with sizes ranging from 3,500 cbm to 22,000 cbm capacity. These vessels operate on a worldwide basis, mainly carrying LPG and petrochemical gases, such as ethylene, propylene, butadiene and VCM.
